I'm going to devote the next few posts to some of the works of French painter Georges Rouault, who lived from 1871-1958 in Paris. He is noted for his unique portrayals of Christ.
First of all, this blog is unapologetically Christian in nature and the author of this blog will always strive to do the following:
*Glorify God in all his wonder
*Minister to people
*Give you a laugh sometimes
*Model positive behavior, through yourself, others, and acts of charity.
Curious about the meaning of the word Arete'? Well, in Greek thought, Arete' was "courage and strength in the face of adversity" and in that culture was what all people aspired to.

I am not an art connoisseur. I appreciate your acknowledging artists who have glorified God.
